mega mewtwo x is actually kinda useless in comparison because Y would make a better mixed sweeper or special sweeper

His gen 1 special stat was 154 which is exactly what regular mewtwo's SpA is.

really disappointed that the mega evolutions of Gengar and Alakazam don't look like that

everyone loves that movie but that would be dumb because those designs are pretty awful and the changes are insignificant which evidently isn't the route they took with mega evolutions  

I think you guys have to realize nintendo is making these pokemon games worth $60 and somehow the next is better then the last. I find this outrageous when I see pokemon that looked like they came from a blender of two pokemon or how they make their games seem original by adding a few new pokemon and then adding the old ones to make it seem like a lot.

Idk my thoughts on this.

No, RBY Mewtwo was overpowered because there were no appropriate checks or even counters at the time. Special being one stat is part of it, but that's the main reason.  

Hasn't Mewtwo always been overpowered? I don't get what the problem is here, isn't he banned from competitive anyways?

I think you guys have to realize nintendo is making these pokemon games worth $60 and somehow the next is better then the last. Mewtwo has always been really strong, being banned from 'OU' (the standard tier of competitive that the meta is balanced around) and placed into a banlist tier called 'Ubers', which some players play competitively. But in this generation, Mega Mewtwo X/Y are both so strong that they're actually banned from the banlist.

I never felt MewTwo was OP...well, then again, I sweep them with Blaziken.

My brother has X i think and Ive watched him play and he has told me the content. Beside bashing on X/Y, im a huge fan of Diamond and Pearl since that was like the last game nintendo didnt remake or add old regions in. I also loved the pixel looking graphics for it vs this sell shaded looking one that X and Y has. However, X and Y seems to have a pretty cool story and at least keeps the player playing for awhile.

Pokemon is somewhat starting out to be like cod, only cod just makes a game every 2-3 years and hardly anything is changed. Pokemon tends to try and keep things new, such as the mega(what is it called?) morph.

I'm still hazy on Generation 6 but IIRC there are a few that are allowed in OU. I think it's because they have to give up an item slot for the "evolution". It does seem GameFreak wasn't taking the competitive scene into consideration when developing the new features. I'm fine with it, I'll probably stick to Gen 4 and 5.  

Most of the mega evolutions arn't overpowered, you need to give up the item slot, and only one mega evo per battle, it won't let you do more if you activate one.  

Items are for Kalos and Unova Pokemon. The rest don't need em.
