A little more information would be helpful, but I think I know what you mean. As soon as you open the app, it turns black and/or closes? I can help you troubleshoot, assuming you're on iOS. I'm not sure how much of this applies to Android.
- The first thing you want to do is remove the app from multitasking, then try launching it. Do this by hitting the home button twice to bring up recent apps. I'm not sure how this works on Android, or if it's there.
- Next, try restarting your phone. (I'm assuming you're on a phone, if you were on facebook I don't think you'd be 'opening' classic.)
- **BEFORE TRYING THIS ONE, IDENTIFY OR YOU WILL LIKELY LOSE EVERYTHING**If none of these work, the last thing you can try is reinstalling the app. This is what I always had to do when I had a second generation iPod, and it worked every time. You may have to re-identify (verify / login to your account) after doing this, but this should fix the issue.
Hopefully this helps if you're still having the problem. If you are actually on Facebook, try clearing your cookies or using a different browser. Beyond that, I'm not sure what can be done. Try submitting a ticket to
