All shows in the list are the order in which I've completed them (at this time some have not finished and will finish my review when the other shows end);
After Engaged to the Unidentified ended during the Winter Season, Nisekoi took that spot as the ending show of my anime list. By far, of the very few harems, that are enjoyable to me. While I have a feeling they're going to keep adding girls with more promises if they get a second season, it'll be bad. Even from the current harem, plenty of side characters that would of improved the show had hardly anytime. The one thing this show does right is the comedy, Every week when it was airing, I always looked forward to how the show would make me laugh, but alas, I cannot forgive the ending that leaves nothing resolved and without a season 2 announcement;
I can't say I enjoyed watching this series, but I also can't say I hated it. It was just one of those series that just filled my time. Each assassin has a wish and if they can kill that one girl in their class, that wish would be granted. Interesting start, but falls off as it progresses because you don't really feel for any of the characters because each episode was devoted to only one of the assassins, there was one were it was focused on two, but it plays out as one big story. Anyway, one of the assassins decides to protect the girl and does so. Near the end, we find out the girl she was protecting has this subconscious power that allows her to manipulate people, as a response to this, her guardian tries killing her to prove that she is acting on her own will. In the end, we see every assassin alive and well, despite what we saw in the series. It's not a standout series, but at the same time, it's not that bad.
So I picked this up expecting to be a supernatural card battling anime. Holy **** I was wrong, this series has a wonderful story, amazing characters struggling to make their wishes come true, a bro-con (incest is wincest), only for everything to be a ****ing lie. Most LRIGs are former girls who thought their wishes would come true, but that's false. The players are not the ones that get their wishes granted, it's the LRIGs. Catch though, if the player loses three battles, the wish they want will become corrupted and they will never have that wish in any sense. What happens to the LRIG? They get sent to a new player to continue battling for their wish. Anyone who isn't a card in this series gets ****ed, hard. It's dark and amazing. Definitely a stand out series from this season. Only thing I wish is that they would of just made it a 24 episode season from the start instead of breaking it apart.
Like Nisekoi, it started in the winter season and called over into spring. This show started off interesting and as it went on, got better and better. this is what happens you take historical figures from around the world, throw some myths into it and blam. You have this series. Nobunaga struggling to become the savior king, Arthur struggling to be become the savior king, only for Arthur to be merely nothing. Dieing trying to resurrect the one he loves. Nobunaga becoming that which was the opposite of what he desires, the destroyer king. Da Vinci getting it wrong in the end (Nobu being Judas). Jeanne falsely naming Nobu the Savior King. Mitsuhide being the actual Savior King in the end, due to him being the one to stop the power of regalia. The ending, where Nobu destoryed the ability to destroy. Destroying all the machines that were created to destroy. Mitsu kills Nobu, Jeanne who was injured in the previous episodes, dies along with Nobu and ascends into Heaven in which they tried to unite with earth. In the end, they are both reincarnated in the world Mitsuhide created and are seen at a museum looking at each other where Da Vincis belongings are along with his final painting, The Last Supper.
Extremely underrated show. Easily one of the best from the Winter Season and one of my all time favorites. It's a roller coaster of a show and I enjoyed every minute of it. An amazing anime. I cannot get over how well the ****ing ending is. It ties everything up nicely with a sad, but happy ending.
Not much to say about this one. Characters are good, the plot is amazing, the twists are executed perfectly, and this isn't about romance. It's about friendship with hints towards romantic feelings. It ends on a very good note, with the possiblity of season 2, if there is none, the series doesn't take that much of a hit.
I loved the OP for this series, the main character is refreshingly sketchy as ****. Tensai is just too awesome not to love. I wish this season had more episodes, but alas, we have an 11 episode series right here with a hint towards more. I'm hoping we'll see an announcement soon.
The style of this one put me off at first, but I eventually grew to love it. Realistic series with a good story, likable characters are everywhere in this series. The comedy was gold, the minor characters were hilarious, the relationship between Usa and Ritsu was just too damn cute. Slice of Life done right.
