Gun Spar Guide
The Basics*
On the bottom corners of your screen there will be a "move pad" and a "fire pad" the one on the right is the fire pad & the one on the left is the move pad. To aim just press on the edge of the pad in the direction you want to shoot in.
Know Your Gun*
All guns have a different spread and its important to know your gun
everything from how it looks to how many bullets it takes to kill a player with it. Amost all the guns on zone have an 18 bullet clip size. A lot of players get hit when they reload and its frustrating but its easy to prevent this by getting to know your weapons rate of fire. By this I mean that in order to not get hit on reload, you must memorize the amount of time it takes your gun to empty an entire clip. Memorizing this will help you know when your gun is going to reload and you are able to step to the side or make space to buy yourself some time when your getting shot at. This is helpful not just in sparring but in pking too.
The difference between iZone & Era Sparring*
In Zone there is a 360degree shooting system which makes it a lot more challenging and a lot more fun at the same time in my opinion. In era you can only shoot in four directions because the controls only allow you to attack vertically and horizontally. I often see era sparrers coming and sparring on zone & I can tell that they are from era because of the fact that they only shoot in four directions. These sparrers struggle to learn the iZone style of sparring because they arent use to 360 shooting. The system that era uses is more based on whoever os holding the bottm part of the arena. This idea of holding the bottom is not necessary on zone because all parts of the arena are the same in terms of controlling the match. Its important that sparrers loosen up and resourcefully use the space given because staying up against the wall will only get you slaughtered. Ive Listed a few things that will help you below
Tactics/ Tips & Tricks- This part of the Guide will help players develop more of a feeling for sparring on zone. I will explain Dragging, Stalling, & straight shooting.
Dragging*
In this tactic you will use any gun (these guns are recommended-Metallic Rifle, Love Gun, & the streamer) to create an arm like wall of spam to force your oppenent in the nearest corner. Once you have "dragged" your oppenent to the corner you want him/her in you will take advantage of their limited space and spam the shizzies out of em. In doing this you will inflict a huge amount of damage and it will turn the tables if done correclty.
-Caution: when creating the wall of spam and shooting your oppenent in the corner be aware of the ammount of ammo you have left because your oppenent will take advantage of you when you stop-
Stalling*
This Tactic is a more advanced skill and requires knowledge about dodging and aiming. It is very effective and useful on all sparrers once it is perfected. To "stall" just stand still and dont move. Sounds crazy but try to minimize the movement when doing this. By standing still your thwoing off your oppenents regular habit of shooting a moving target. Once they realize theyre not shooting you they will change the direction of spam towards you. When they do this, the bullets are coming from one direction so just move in the opposite direction at the last second. Thats where the dodging knowledge kicks in but sparrers also remain calm and not panic when they are facing a wall of bullets. Make sure that when your stalling that your shooting as well. If you fail to keep shooting then your oppenent will move forward, moving you against the wall and getting you killed.
Straight Shooting*
This Style of sparring has proven to be very effective against almost all sparrers. Straight shooting in basically only shooting straight in 4 directions like in era. This Increases the chance of the bullet hitting your oppenent because they arent use to it they cant dodge it. Sounds Plain but trust me. Shoot a few straight bullets and you will land a bullet or two on even the best sparrers.
