With the new music system out, would it be possible for those that own the old flute:

A) Get the new one for free. (I don't think the free word has been seen since the VIP vouchers for sever issues, unlikely.)

B) Have the old one updated to function with the new system. (This would be cool to have a unique instrument not currently sold.)

C) At least have the notes assigned to keys so I don't have to manually click the holes in a vain attempt to play something on it. (Makes me wonder why I bought it in the first place tbh.)



I like having the old one as a keepsake, but it really is now with the new music system just as it always has been: useless. I think it's because of how the notes aren't associated with keys like some pianos have been for a while. I believe the organ you could get for christmas suffers a similar type of issue, but don't hold me to that one, haven't checked in a long time.

What do you guys think? Should older instruments like the flute and the game cartridge get tweaked to be easier to use? Or should we just keep holding the mouse down and fervently swiping across the notes to make racket? I know this kind of small item maintenance tends to get overlooked or overshadowed as time goes on with large updates and as staff rotate out into newer players who weren't around for older items.

PS is there the option to have your saved tunes loop when someone enters your house? If not, why not?

I think there should be more options for playing instruments automatically, whether it be for background music in a house, or for playing songs that are difficult on a keyboard in public as they're intended to sound. This would especially be good for making songs with multiple instruments, because then they could play in sync, forgetting server lag and just general player-to-player timing incoherence.
