Why aren't they allowed if anyone knows? Kinda odd since they are something i'm sure many players would have lots of ideas for.

Due to popular demand I'll go ahead and post the accessory template here and try to explain how it works. Since accessories are new, sparse and the template can be rather complicated, I doubt we'd accept player submissions - but it doesn't hurt to play around with it anyway!

That could still be why.

Awww really? I thought they were accepted for xmas last year because the template was in the dropbox too (but then again, I wasn't really active for xmas last year either)

I made accessories for xmas back in August because I knew that I would be too busy to make them in college. I made a hat version of it just in case (cuz it's a mask that only covers the eyes) but since I didn't have time to make it into a gif I'm worried that it won't get accepted :/ better luck next time for me I guess

He's right.
Coco's statement didn't rule out player submitted accessories 100% but instead just pointed towards the fact that they're new and hard to create so unless you actually create something that looks really good you won't have a chance.

It's a pretty new type of item so I can understand why they rather don't get sub-par submissions and ones that don't properly use all the frames required

I personally really enjoy these accessories, I've been having more fun with just the accessories over the hats lately. Be a nice addiction to the Player submissions, At least see how it goes.
