hey, I'm about to reveal to you my deepest thoughts of the Alignment Point system, so i'd be pleased if you'd take yourself a second to at least vote on the Poll and maybe leave a comment with your opinion about it.

well back to the topic
I used to like AP (Alignment Points). In fact, I loved it. But now I sat back a bit and thought a little bit about it and I really don't like it anymore, sure it has some good sides i think, but everything would be better without it to me.
I'll now tell you some advantages of the AP System.
When you have 100 AP, and you're not really that Pker type of person, other people will not be able to hit you with a sword. Good. but they can still hit you with arrows, bombs or horse. not really helpful then.

I can't tell you more. advantages, please tell me in the comments below if there are.

now we're at the disadvantages
No healing? No sense.. to me
People can no longer heal if they have below 20 AP (not sure, haven't tested)
Why? to make it fair for those who are not that good at PK? how is that fair to those who are? and why are pro sparrers with a rating of 7000+ still able to spar people with a rating of 5000+ then? makes no sense to me. if you want fairness then really do fairness.

Saints(people with 100 AP)
People could just make an organized group/guild of many people being saints.
those rush the flagroom and place all around the flag and start to hit, only then they'd be able to get damage by sword which is most likeley already too late.
they could do this to your fort! right now!
are you with me?

Friend Indicators
those are really annoying and for some people hard to see.

Spar
when you spar with 100 AP you'll first think: "yeahh! cool i'm not losing AP". But then, when you're not paying attention to it and are no more worried about losing AP.. BOOM. that's where you'll lose your AP.

If you have more disatvantages, please comment below.

Summary
Why can't we just get back our usual Name Tag colors and Delete this - to me - awful system? it's nothing but (excuse my language here) a pain in the ass to most of the Players.

I mean Red Name for Guild, Purple for Ally, lightblue for random Player, Darkblue for a friend and a Gold Tag for a Staff is much more clearly than some wiggeling arrows that Jump above players head. It looks like those are killer Arrows poking our heads till we die.

Can we just have the old Names back? and forget about the AP System? I'll tell you what, no I promise you, when we are rid of these Alignment Points everyone, believe it or not, is going to be much more wanting to go out and PK, Tower or Spar.

If you are PKing often, it wouldn't be fair to competitors for you to just run into a room and heal.

I don't think this has ever happened. If this becomes a constant issue, I'm sure this would be fixed, but at the moment there are more important stuff to work on.

Who the hell uses nicknames anymore? Plus, we have indicators that tell us who is who.

You don't need to restate your name, we can see it. Saints: people who don't want to PK, in turn they don't want to be PK'd thats why having over 40AP allows you to heal (anything under 40AP can't heal.), besides if you are a "PKer" you should except the fact you're going to die sooner or later.

simpler: Saints don't kill, so they don't want to die, PKer's kill, therfore should die aswell.

its true that bombs, arrows, (and horses?) can hurt saints, but thats because a smart saint MOST OF THE TIME wouldn't be in a PK area, because they don't need to be, they're not a PKer.

It takes hours and hours to get 100 AP from a sub-65 AP position (which is the vast majority of towerers). You think people - let alone a tower guild with PKers - are going to sit around in a church for hours on end to all get 100 AP, just for one tower? I don't think so.

It isn't for fairness, it's because healing as you pk is real cheap ****. I'd go as far as to say its laming.

You're worried about defending a tower against people who can't even attack you?... use bombs or arrows.

Those darn saints are deadly I'm telling ya'... They just sit there and watch your every move... Sometimes they juggle, but they always stare. Those dark, sullen, beady eyes coaxed in a plate of gold... Always watching... Always waiting...

Okay so clearly AP's not going to be removed, but I'm still going to say that I wish it was. I pk, so my AP is usually pretty low, which means that I have to bomb myself every time I need full health, like when I'm attacking a fort. Also, I completely agree with the indicators. They're really the main reason why I have disliked AP since it was released. They just make it more difficult to see who's who...I found the colored nicknames better because I almost always have nicknames turned on and whenever I saw a blue nickname, I could just read it to see who the friend was rather than having to figure out who the indicator is pointing to, especially when I'm walking through someplace crowded like Graal City. And yeah, yeah, I understand both of these things are just like personal problems but that's my opinion :9
