Hello everyone,
Soon we will be releasing the much anticipated “New Guild System” or NGS. There are still minor changes and additions we would like to make along the way but are confident that the current version is ready for release. This system has been developed over the last few years by many staff members, some of which are no longer working with us. We want to take a moment and say thank you to everyone who had a hand in bringing this new guild system to life. With that being said, let’s get into some of the details and new features for guilds!
Goals:
Our goal is to revamp the towering system by putting a focus into towering and guild activities with the return of much requested custom guild rewards and new rewards as well.
New Features:
Guild Points
A key feature will be a new guild currency which can be used to unlock new features and rewards for your entire guild. Gather some friends or venture solo and hold one of the guild forts across the map. 1 guild point will be awarded for every 3 minutes your guild owns a fort. This is stackable meaning if you own more towers you will receive more points! As well, if a guild and their ally take a fort, points will be awarded to the main guild currently holding the fort, not the ally. Be on the lookout for guild events to earn bonus points for your guild to help reach that next reward!
Guild Inventory
The guild inventory is where all rewards are stored. This means all rewards for a guild are only available to members when they are on that guilds tag.
Guild Points Shop
You can spend your Guild Points on a variety of features and items, including functionality expansions, custom guild hats, custom guild accessories, guild banners and (premade) guild emotes.
1K Hats are back and 1K Accessories are here!
You can buy a guild hat or guild accessory with 20,000 Guild points. At a rate of 1 point for every 3 minutes of captured fort time, this translates to 1K hats and accessories! You can have multiple guildhats and -accessories in your guild inventory but the price will slightly increase each time you buy one. Once purchased for a guild these rewards prevent a guild from being disbanded as well to protect the guild. There may be additional guild exclusive rewards for reaching certain milestones in the future.
Guild Banners
Guild Banners come in 5 different styles and allow you to display your current guild logo on the banner if you’re using the right settings before uploading the image. Unlocking a guild banner for your guild will by 5000 points. Once unlocked, these banners will show up in your inventory while on tag.
Guild Emotes
There are 5 differently themed animated guild emotes available for easy internal guild communications during competitive as well as social activities. These emotes have strategic advantages as well, for example in MOD fort when used your emojis will display on the top and bottom floor so all attacking members can see it. Each pack holds five (5) unique emoticons and can be purchased for 500 points. Once unlocked, these emoticons will show up on the left side of your screen underneath your map icon!
Functionality Expansion 1 - Ranks
Take control over your ranks and fully customize the rank names and permission! Comes with 6 additional rank slots totalling to 10 ranks including leader. This expansion costs 1000 points.
Functionality Expansion 2 - Slots
Unlock 10 character slots for your members to set and equip! This expansion will set you back 1000 points.
Functionality Expansion 3 - Logs
Wonder what your members are up to while you’re not there? Now you can find out! This expansion costs 500 points.
Nerfs/Limitations:
The new guild system features a revamp of some existing systems including some nerfs and features which may be perceived as downsides to some players. These limits have been introduced to prevent guild monopolies from forming and gaining impenetrable advantages over smaller guild communities. If you’d like to grind out guild rewards you won’t be able to do so by having a huge amount of guild members or shuffling through a constant stream of players.
Guild Members and Alliances
Guilds will be limited to 30 members. An Alliance can be formed for strategic advantages if both guilds have 25 members or less (each) for a combined total of 50 members in an Alliance. Allied guilds will not have access to their ally’s guild inventory.
Seasonal Rewards (Towerhats)
Will be replaced altogether with the custom rewards available to guilds via their guilds shop.
Kicking Fees
An individual kicking fee has been introduced to prevent guilds from profiting of a members activity - and then letting them go with no reward. If a previously kicked members rejoins the guild the fee will be refunded. The forumula for this fee is:
((Taghours x 60)/3)/15
There are exceptions to prevent those fees from affecting non-competitive guilds in an unbalanced way.
The kicking-fee will NOT apply IF:
- Your guild has below 1,000 points and has no guild hat, accessory or banner
OR
- The kicked member has been off guildtag for more than 5 days
Transferring guild hats/accessories to personal inventories
The most recent hat/accessory can be transferred to a members inventory upon leaving the guild IF:
- The member has at least 500 hours of tagtime
AND
- The guild agrees to pay a fee of 200 points. This part of the fee will not get refunded if the member rejoins the guild.
