Have you tried any sports? It doesn't matter whether you're good at them to start off or you have no friends that play them. Lots of sports only need one person (you)!
As for some team/2 or more people sports, I love playing tennis, volleyball, and soccer. I'm not the best at these sports, but once I actually start playing them I don't really care. If you aren't interested in sports, there are plenty of websites dedicated to teaching languages and musical instruments. Trust me, languages do get easier the more you learn about them (here); it's the same with instruments as well. Although, instruments can expensive, so I would suggest learning a piano or guitar as they can be bought relatively cheaply (here and here for piano and here for guitar). Back to the languages, there are surprisingly a few Nintendo DS games that teach languages. You could also try writing or reading on wattpad.com. I can't think of any other websites off the top of my head. This isn't exactly a hobby, but if you're old enough to be allowed out of the house, you could always walk around your city/town/etc. and if something looks interesting join in! This might only work if you live in a big city though. |

Gonna try and recommend some really inexpensive hobbies that pretty much anyone can do. I realize that you may not think any of these fit your interests, but I really recommend at least giving some of them a try. Long Distance Running - Really great, running for some reason has a really negative stigma around it about it being really hard or demanding, but it really isn't you just need to work at your own pace, and keep working at it. Personally I enjoy running because its a great and easy way to get outside, enjoy the weather, and keep my body moving. If you are really into it you may get to a point where you actually don't want to stop running, and when you do stop, you want to start up right again. Geocaching - I haven't done a lot of geocaching, or done it recently, but a couple years ago my dad and I got into it together. If you don't know what it is, you basically get GPS coordinates to a location out in the forest/desert, go there and find a cache of stuff other people have left behind there, you can take/leave stuff if you want, but all around its pretty cool. I'd recommend going with a friend, since a lot of it is off trail so it can become kinda dangerous to just wander alone. Backpacking/Hiking - Good gear isn't necessarily cheap, especially for backpacking, but you could probably find some still functioning second hand stuff backpacks, pocket stove, compressible sleeping bags etc.. And I would also recommend finding a partner to do this with, especially if you are going to be doing longer trails. But it can be a really great way to get out and explore the world. Rock Climbing - Whether its indoor or outdoor, it is really fun, and a pretty intense workout, it may be a little pricy to buy some ropes/harnesses. But I'd say its well worth it with how badass you will feel looking down at the end of a climb. Also would recommend learning some good knot tying skills prior to doing, so you don't die. Rollerblading - just kidding, thats really gay. Volunteering - Find a retirement home, food bank, animal shelter or something to volunteer at can be really rewarding, especially if its an animal shelter because then you can play with kitties sometimes. Honestly, if helping others does not make you feel great i dont know what to say. Partying - If you can find a good group of friends to go with it can be a lot more enjoyable, partying alone is kinda awful anyway. You don't need to do drugs or anything to have fun at a party by the way, if that sorta thing turns you away, it can actually be way more fun sober. You probably shouldn't accept drugs from people you don't know anyway. Wire sculpting - When I was really young I would do this with my mom on vacations, all it really requires is a small $3 coil of copper wire and needle nose pliers. Its really easy too, doesn't take a lot of artistic talent to make something cool. Bodyweight Exercises - You literally need nothing for this. If you aren't already in decent physical shape it can be pretty difficult but if you stay at it strong you will see some awesome results. And once you get good at it it'll feel really empowering to see the things you can do. Some good exercises to start with are pushups, L sits, dips, and pull ups. For pull ups it would be helpful to invest in a pull up bar (they aren't expensive! if you can get a doorframe one for like $30 on amazon), but you can do them pretty much anywhere anyway. If you really don't have any place to do dips or pullups the local playground is great for that. Cuddling - 10/10 would recommend big spoon |

Oh yeah, there's also learning a new language too. Takes a ton of time and a hell of a strong commitment, but it took up the majority of 2014 and if you can get it down, it feels ****ing incredible. Easily one of the greatest feelings of accomplishment I've had, achieving casual fluency in a language by myself in under a year.
