Love that your idea is to add an option to “trade present” using the Easter egg hunt trading system instead of simply replacing “give present.” Especially because there doesn’t seem to be a reason to have a trade system for gifting since Christmas is about giving plus there’s a Secret Santa stall. I also appreciate your suggestion of adding a way to put how many presents we’d like to give/trade with the bug selling system to the witch in Swamp to make things easier. I’d guess that Secret Santa would have to be removed/replaced for your idea to be implemented. Your idea would be great for those who are too broke to spend an extra 10 gralat fee to use Secret Santa and it would definitely reassure people who are afraid of getting scammed. Plus the wait to get a trade from Secret Santa takes a while and the fact that people ask to see a player’s gralats in their profile, which doesn’t show how many gifts they have in their inventory, but this trading system prove they have gifts even when their profile says they’re broke. Since scamming is a reason to be banned, I don’t see why this idea would be disposed of when it’s been thought out thoroughly. One flaw I see with this system is what if both players put a different number for how many gifts they would like to trade with each other? Or perhaps the choosing amount of gifts you’d like to send should only be for “give present” option while the “trade gift” is one by one, so that there’s also a different in the page both options lead to in case someone clicks one option thinking they clicked the other. And a little out of topic but the idea would be great for Valentine gifting too! |

Scamming gifts can't get you banned. There's no way of knowing someone got scammed. The only reason someone would get a ban for scamming is if real money/accounts were involved.
I think this goes back to square one for me. It ruined the idea of it all and it'd just turn into more of a hoarding event than it already is. These are just my two cents. Who knows maybe trading gifs is what this event needs but I'm not really for it. There's already a way of safely exchanging gifts and if people actually used the service they wouldn't get scammed. You could argue that the 10 gift per day limit is why people don't use it but it makes perfect sense being there. This holiday is about giving, not spamming people with G4G? and trying to make a brand new 5th ocean in your house with presents. |

- scam should be a reason to ban people. - Yea like i said i know if they put the Trade Idea in game it'll "ruin" the Christmas Spirit. But this spirit is stained each time someone scam another person. And since the start of Gift Trading its getting worst and worst, even with Secret Santa. Imagine being a kid, farming weeks, months to be able to trade gifts, you made your own money and when you trade, someone scam you multiple times. Because we're adults or grown people we dont really care about gifts we can spend money and gift how many gifts we want. But not these players, and these players represent the biggest community of the game. Thats why a trade option should be allowed, and if i remember correctly, even if its about giving and offering, in most of every family around the world, people trade gift between them. You dont wait for a gift, but usually when someone gift you, you have something for him. |

The people who take advantage of others to get free gifts will never disappear. Even with a trading system they'll still scam unsuspecting children by talking their way through it. Those kids could easily avoid it by using the SS stall too. If they keep doing the exact same thing (trading with random people they don't know) and expect a different result (to not get scammed) then that's just crazy becase there's an alternative way to do it which is as far as I know, completely safe.
You also said it yourself. Keyword "Families". Do you go up to random people you don't know in real life and ask them if they want to exchange gifts? Probably not and even if you did it would go two ways. 1) You exchange gifts and it goes well because offline you're not hiding behind a monitor and if any of the two parties scams the other then they can just go to the authorities and they'll sort it out so it's not worth even bothering trying. 2) They'll just decline the offer because they might think something is phishy. I wouldn't really compare what happens in this game to situations in real life because unlike the latter, we're dealing with items that hold no actual real world value. |
