The gnomes don't like Damascus the fallen blacksmith. He was once a great and powerful blacksmith, until the lizardons destroyed his smithy. Long has it been foretold that the Great Damascus was one of the few blacksmiths that joined together to forge the legendary hammer that could bend iron as if it were just a sheet of paper. The gnomes used this hammer to construct the railroads, however as time passed a great evil arised in land beyond the South of the Swamp. The lizardons declared war against the people of the land known as Destiny, and when they needed help the gnomes wavered. Damascus was furios, "How can we not aid the people of Destiny when they need it the most? Are we just going to watch as they suffer?", said Damascus to Rolland the Wise. Grown tired of the high council's decision, Damascus traveled to Destiny to assist the town's people. The gnomes saw this and declared that Damascus was never again allowed to return to their lands for "Innapropriate Behavior". Damascus tried to help the people of Destiny by forging for them the greatest of weapons, but the Lizardons destroyed his smithy. Unable to assist the others, Damascus filled himself with great sorrow. He entered the Destiny pub where he would drink himself to sleep, hoping that one day a great hero would rise to save the town and that not all has been lost...
