I've knocked the 3DS many times before but Fire Emblem Awakening was released and it has got amazing reviews. The first U.S. released Fire Emblem for the GBA is one of my most favorite and memorable games I've ever played. I have a hard time justifying the purchase just for one game though.

I'm just wondering if it is really worth it?
Is there any news on a newer 3DS coming out soon?
What are the best games for the 3DS?
Are you able to buy old GBA games on this "eShop" thing?

Someone please convince me.  

The 3DS is an awesome device. I mean if you are getting a 3DS just for FE:A..Then you are missing out. The eShop sells 3ds games and gameboy games..Just not GBA games. Also Resident Evil, Kid Iracus, all of them are good. Get one bro..FE:A is not the only awesome game on 3DS.  

You can always emulate gba games on your idevice as jailbreaking available for all devices, also, the Ps Vita is incredibly amazing with Uncharted, Soul Sacrifice, Persona 4 Golden(Reason I got PS Vita) PlayStation All-Stars, and LittleBigPlanet and Disgaea 3. While 3DS Must haves are kid icarus, fire emblem, resident evil revelations, and kingdom hearts 3D(reason I want 3ds) Mario Kart 7 Loz:OOT 3D. The choice is yours.

If you are to get a 3DS, I recommend the 3DS XL. I have the XL and it's pretty much perfect aside from having dual analog sticks. I use my 3DS for netflix, mario kart 7, pokemanz, and other $5- GB/GBA games I can find in the Eshop. It is still a relatively new device, so I expect new and better games to come along this year, just got done playing the Monster Hunter demo and it was nothing less than bad ass (except for frustrating camera controls which I hope is fixed by release).

P.S: Vita sux  

Nintendo announced a new game of the Mario and Luigi series (the RPG version, one of my favorite series), a new Pokemon on top of other games like Luigi's mansion for the 3DS. It's definitely worth buying, just make sure you buy the XL version as it has been stated to be the more ergonomic version of the two.

Having been a fan of the Monster Hunter series for a few years now, I can tell you that the camera controls have always been a part of the learning curve that the games have. It is more frustrating on the 3DS though because of the positioning of the control pad, but the lock-on system remedies that a bit.

Also, the new Fire Emblem is amazing from what I saw in the demo. There's also games coming out in the near future, such as Pokemon X and Y. GET THE 3DS.  

The camera just pisses me off >.> I have to re-position and when I do I'm getting attacked lmao.
I'm actually pretty interested in the new 3D Mystery dungeon coming out soon. Fire emblem has also got a lot of good reviews as well.

It's a lot easier on the PSP and Wii, since on the PSP the control pad is above the control stick, while on the Wii it's on the Wiimote.

I already have a gba emulator on my Note 2. I would want the 3DS for FE but I wanna know what else it can do to justify the purchase.
The PS Vita is out of the question, I don't want to spend that much money period.

No 3ds with dual analog sticks, but there is an extension for $20 which adds one.

3ds XL is great. I reccomend getting kid icarus uprising If you get a 3ds.
