So next week they're finally gonna reveal the next Battlefield game on May 6. I'm ****ing hyped for whatever they reveal (as long as its not 2142). Theres a website with a countdown and probably might be a teaser coming before that.

What are you guys expecting? Since theres been lots of rumors of it being based in WWI or WWII I wouldn't be suprised if it was. Even when the game is rumored to be called Battlefield: Eastern Front.

I'd be happy with anything but futuristic warfare which is wayyyyy over saturated right now. I'd probably even take Hardline 2 over it.  

I don't care what anyone says, I'm really interested to see how they pull off a WWI battlefield.  

Tbh if they made a bf 2143 like the original one, i think most people would like it, despite all the futuristic games that have come out, but nonetheless, i'd sooner see a ww1 or 2 game in battlefield.

The thing people don't understand is that futuristic games are easier to make. It means the game can be anything, because, unlike games about the past, it can be anything, and so developers don't have to be accurate, as there is nothing to be accurate about.

Wouldn't it be easier if it was accurate because then you don't have to make much up?

I mean there's like 10,000 games they can just reskin anyways lol, WW1/WW2 is so overused that they have so much they can base their's off of.

I guess it could be viewed better on either side, the past means you don't have to use your imagination, but you have to be as accurate as you can and a single mistake could cause people to not like it, however, the future means you cannot make a mistake, as like i said, it hasn't happened yet.

What wwI never dominated at all. Infact it is very underepresented. A wwI battlefield or a battlefield korea would be dope

Uh not at all. WwI is slow and defensive. Especially since the machine gun wasn't really compacted into an effective battle rifle until 1918 with the browning automatic and machine pistols wern't introduced until the end of the war with the mp18. WwI is very stagment and not mobile while wwII was very mobile and fast.

Chances are DICE or whoever is developing this game will try and make the game more fast-paced.

I forgot who said this but even though there was like, only 2 major guns used in WW1 being bolt-action rifles and machine guns that doesn't account for the undocumented experimental weapons developed during WW1.

In most modern FPS games they include like 10+ weapons for each class but in reality most infantry will only use like 3 of them.  

CoD revealed their next piece of trash game, so whatever happens DICE cant stuff it up now.


It will kinda be like the Xbone and PS4 reveals a couple years ago
