Why ask for quests?
Face it pals, you aren't going to turn Classic into a storyline/quest server. Questing should never be the main focus of Graal because the work it takes to make them for the time players complete them is out of whack. Look at the recent trade quest which was finished by most people within an hour. If you want quests, then go play a single player game quests are done much better there because having multiple players presents problems. What you should be asking for are releases with longevity that people will want to do every day (bug catching, towers, sparring, etc.). I would rather see the towers on Classic get revamped, for example, and see more minigames like archery created before seeing the trade quest completed. So stop asking for quests, if you want quests go back and play LttP.

too easy to cheat in archery. all you gotta do is line up the arrow with rail's curves. and lag controls the scoring system. Any idea when that crane game will be finished? also why is this in future improvements lol? |

I like the little activities like spar, archery, fort capture, etc.. I'm in favor of more of those, until we run out of ideas.

We should focus on new MULTIPLAYER ideas, after all this is an mmo. Quests are temporary, while events will be permanent and will most likely never get stale.

Can we please have team paintball yet? That was so much fun a while back, but it seems like it fell off the face of the earth. I even made a level for it, but I'm sure someone could easily do better and it wouldn't be too tough to script. Probably same as guild spar except use of swords disabled, only bow allowed.

I actually have to agree with Imprint, his thoughts reflect mine. There two things that make up a game. One is a challenge and having fun, and two is being rewarded for completing that challenge. One thing that I think would last is if they fixed the ctf map to prevent the blocking exploit, removed he entry fee, and added leaderboards for flag captures, flag denies, wins, and kills. By fixing ctf to be more playable and rewarding, players will want to play it to be the best. There were people who went for 100,000 baddy kills just to dominate the gamecenter leaderboards. Surely people will play a fun game of ctf to advance in the leaderboard. such a fix should only take a few hours. Removing the entry fee can be done in a minute. Fixing the level basically to get rid of ways to block should take 5 minutes max. Adding leaderboards for it really should only take a couple hours considering they already have functions for it that they used for towers, pks, and sparring. Archery was good because it was very competitive the first few weeks as people were still learning it and trying to reach the maximum score. Now people know how to play and people get perfect scores easily, so it isn't played frequently. The same would likely happen to bowling. People would love it for a few weeks, then people start getting 300 and its abandoned. |

If you guys want a game that is solely multiplayer, then you must not like classic. Back when it was the only server, when graal was Graalonline: The Adventure, it was heavily focused on story and questing. Now, an online game with no multiplayer aspect is stupid, I agree, but we should try to focus not only on good multiplayer, but melding it with singleplayer.

I do agree. One of the main problems I see is a reward for the quests. Because you know children will rage if they don't get a prize... But what sort of prize, hat? Overused? Worthless item? No one want's an item everyone has. Gameplay advantage? Not an advantage if everyone has it. Gralats? Those are good until you spend them. I am with the majority on this one. Games>Quests. There are so many games that could be made too, and it doesn't take a lot of thinking because the object, rules, and design is already laid out for you. But even then, why waste time making new things? Just fix the old stuff, look at the Soccer arena, empty. This can be fixed by turning it into an organized system. Make it like guild spar so it is not a jumbled mess, add a leader board for incentive, make the field look more appealing. |
