Letter of Resignation / Art Portfolio
I just sent Cujo a PM stating my resignation, for now, for the server Shaded Legends. Long reason no one need care about. Spoiler
After my 3 month leave from Graal, I did get my portfolio finished and I am accepted into the Visual Arts section of University of Maryland, Baltimore Count. I should have my Bachelors of Fine Arts in about two years. :] The portfolio *notes Spoiler
I probably, definitely, won't be on here or Graal much. This is my fourth leave of absence indefinitely and as always it seems like it is getting worse. I heard a classic server is even hiring more younger players to be on the team. Can't say I'm at shock and awe yet. For all of you developers and/or artists out there, good luck! I'd still say Graal is a great jumpstart to art. :] Want to keep in touch? Spoiler

The last thing I was working on for Shaded Legends I actually wanted to release to the public. Waterfalls... Well the last thing was the shop system, but I don't think Cujo would want that released. I'll see if I can get the waterfalls. Basically they could be changed from width, and height. Could suck you up from the top and starting out slow speedily throw you down the water and push you away from the focus of the water. I believe the lights were part of another script though... You could also set it to have a bottom of the waterfall piece or a top, or both.. I hope to learn Java in my spare time while I'm going to UMBC. It may not be my focus, but I'd love to continue object oriented programming.. I'd much rather see the results, and correct through trial and error. Programming can be art. </3 |

Thank you all. I've been in the university for a year now, all my credits and upper electives have been finished. I have only been waiting to get into the Visual Arts program which was a make or break for my bachelors. I already have an Assosicates in Fine Arts, so I would have been on a job hunt if I didn't make it. :[ Still on a job hunt, but petty jobs. Hope all of you are doing well, have a great thanksgiving and Chanukiah, Quanza, and Christmas. I'm out for a while. Thunderstorm, if you need someone to talk to about it, let me know. I don't mind listening. I may or may not apply to be a GP again on iClassic while I'm at UMBC if I have free time. Sometime to do and Idle all day while making sure the little ones are working. P.S.: The portfolio was of a death theme, and was turned in by USB inside of a small hand-made painted coffin with moss in it. :] It's all about presentation. |

Farewell David. SL was the first server I ever worked on and you practically mentored me throughout my time there. I respect and appreciate all you have done not only for me, but the Graal community may it be indirect or direct. Your art work is amazing, and I look forward to you bringing what was beautiful in graal, to real life. I would wish you luck, but you don't need it. Go kick ass.

I was wondering how many people were in the same position as myself concerning portfolio creation and acceptance into a Visual Arts program. I'm still in the process of putting together the best portfolio I can. It's good to know that there are others who are doing the same here. Congratulations on being accepted and I hope you fulfill your goals after you get your Bachelors of Fine Arts! Best of luck. |
