Ventus's GFX
So I just started reading tutorials this past week, as I wish to use my imagination using pixels, critique is appreciated as I wish to improve. If anyone has a request just ask, and I'll try my best at it. Requests can be limited so I'm not overwhelmed. Here is a Poke' ball I made "used jesters tutorial" and here is a Hat I am working on currently.

Nice pokeball. The hat is weird to me, Idk, it might be just me though otherwise it looks fine.

Can you make a Daft Punk themed helmet? Just look in google images if you don't know what it is.

Just remember, as in the picture, their helmets are super shiny. |

Maybe try instead of using pure white, use very light versions of the surrounding colors that blend into white. And of course, the shine should correspond with the light source VS the shape.

Just use a bright shade of the color then surround it by slightly darker or way darker shades depending on the amount of shine you want. Tutorials will only get you so far, some things you have to learn by studying other peoples work and trying it yourself ![]() Also, great start on your pixel art journey! |

Looks good. However, it seems to me that your GFX is smallish on scale. Idk if you're doing this on purpose. If so never mind. On the helmet, it's fine to make a shine effect, but as in the picture... The light is coming from the side. On the rounded visor, a shine is located where the light is coming from. So, you wouldn't have that striped look you have made. Looking at different types of light sources and their effects on different surfaces/substances may help you. Also, your hats look a little flat. Work on your depth a little bit. In addition to that, unless your light source is coming from the front, you shouldn't pillow shade. Aka: the yellow on the helmet. Using different light sources can completely change the look of your graphic. |
