Higbey's Graal Lore (Green stone).
Hey guys I just saw this and wanted to share. It was done by Higbey the demon and explains a lot about the green stones. If you are interested in seeing more of his content most of it can be found on the forums. If the image does not show up well here is the link http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/...greenstone.png |

It's interesting. I can't read greenstone without thinking of New Zealand greenstone though. |

Apparently in the Classic universe the most readily available metal is a gold and aluminum alloy. So... the world that Classic is built upon has most likely been harvesting already manufactured metals from a long-lost civilization that really liked purple gold.

It had nothing to do with gralats, but the excessive purple in pics1. However at a second glance it seems like most of the purple usage is supposed to be rock(or stone), not metal. The only rock I can find that would have such an excessive shade of purple to it are stones formed via lava. Obsidian, basalt, porphyry... so ya, the world of classic is... sitting on a supervolcano?

It would be awesome if Graal had an in-depth backstory that could be explored in game by those who looked hard enough. I know SOME of that exists, but not enough.
