Newbies do a lot of exploring and running around.

True, but said newbie wouldnt be able to complete the quest to get the ski item.
+I still think at least 1/?000's of people online today would have found it, and spread it.

saw someone with a snowboard too..could have been a shield though :O ALTHOUGHHH i saw the person holding it up with both hands and when i checked his profile the thing he was holding wasnt there :O!!
