Please explain to me pictures and paragraphs would be nice no short stuff +rep to all who help.  

I played minecraft a few weeks, but got tired of it. Basically what you do is build houses, kill enemies with weapons you make, mine, and other things. The only thing I don't like is the spawning and making your own server. If you can't make your own server or don't want to play solo, you would have to find a server made by someone else. It's fun to build towns with other people and trade items and what not. I might start playing it again if I ever get the urge to. It's worth trying. The graphics are kind of like you're in a giant pixelated world, but at times can be laggy. People should only get this is their computer can handle it.

You can't really know until you've played it really.
Up until recently, I wondered why everyone was playing Minecraft and I wasn't, so after repeatedly seeing the name pop up everywhere, including these forums, I decided I would give it a go.
Basically, you start with nothing, so you have to explore and get the materials you need to get started in a Minecraft world.

The main aspect, or in my eyes anyway, of the game is to build structures, which you create from harvesting what nature has to offer, which is basically blocks of different materials, such as dirt, stone, sand, water, coal and wood, and then either crafting these block materials into more useful blocks, such as wooden planks, doors, torches, weapons, tools, and even TNT (which I love using to blow massive craters into the ground).

I mentioned weapons a few sentences ago. These include a sword (which can be crafted from materials such as stone, wood, gold and even diamond) and a bow and arrow. You use these to fight the large variety of monsters that come out at night if you ever find yourself trapped out in the open without a shelter, or if you're exploring a cave for minerals to mine with a pickaxe, monsters will crop up here also.
Also, tools are created to help speed up processes such as chopping down trees for wood, mining higher level minerals, cutting leaves down faster etc.

As well as all this, there are a few alternate dimensions as well.
Just give it a go, see if you like it. (you will)

It's actually pretty fun and extremely addicting. As far as finding a server goes, I've played solely on the Graalians server and have had tons of fun. It's not very expensive, either, and you'll likely get a lot more out of it than you would for games that are double the price.  

BTW, when the game gets a final release the price is going to go up again, and you might have to pay for content updates. People who bought the game in its alpha state got it for $13, and people who bought it in the beta state(current) got it for like $20. Both get all future content for free, while those who buy the final release may have to pay for new content.

It's definitely worth it. I thought it looked lame when everyone was talking about it and I hadn't tried it, then I started playing and I'm hooked. There are endless things to do and places to explore, plus millions of servers to play on, and updates every few weeks usually.

When i looked at minecraft i thought it is the worst game in history, that is till you start playing it and loose track of time after 4 hours
