17 Year Cicadas Shall Return...Fml
So, for the first time in 17 years periodically, these special pests will be making a return for a whole 2 weeks or so until they die off and their offspring remain untouched for another 17 years. If there's anyone else that lives in Ohio or any other area these insects lay their eggs, keep an eye out. You may just run into a swarm when you least expect it. http://www.cicadamania.com/where.html I'm really not looking forward for their arrival... |

Hey I live in Ohio! Yeah, these things leave their shells all over the place. It's rare when I actually see one up close. My cat caught one once and it was cool to see him so close up.

we don't get that type where i'm from. i had no idea locusts and cicadas were the same thing.
i remember finding one that had somehow been chopped in half once. it was still moving around and everything. |
