Idk if this was brought up before but I thought that adding this stuff would be a great way to identify people and friends. Like theres a button of recent name changes, and recent talks.  

It's called a PM History, which is on the menu  

Better yet....People on your friends list have colored names (Like...White or Purple for instance.).

PM History only records like the last 10 PMs then poof. I talked to a staff about this and they said keeping logs in game would take to much space/memory. So how bout it only saves to the receiving player in the form of a text file, would be nice to see past pms. And the PM history isn't a name log, he means something that shows what a persons past nicknames were.  

I think he means a list of the player's previous names and when it got changed to that name.

If you have a look at Steam, you can view the player's previous names they've used. Except it doesn't say when their name was changed.

Some players like to keep changing their name, yet it confuses players. They can have a look at the player's name history so they can identify what the player is.
