MC THG: Arena
Minecraft: The Hunger Games. May the odds be ever in your favor. If you've read The Hunger Games, you'll know what this is about. If you haven't, The Hunger Games is an event where twenty four tributes are locked inside a random arena where they fight to the death; only one will emerge victorious. When the server comes out we will begin work on an extraordinary arena. The arena will be not necessarily be huge, but definitely a few hundred blocks in every direction. We will have a challenge of creating a way for the audience to view the games, but that won't be the problems. Most important we'll have lots of traps set for the gamemakers to activate and kill players. If all goes successful, we will host another set of games later in the future. Right now our task is to decide what type of arena will be used for these games. Please vote in the poll on this thread. (We will have a different thread later on with more information including how to sign up for the games.) Different Choices: I have some evil ideas planned depending on which area is chosen. More will be revealed later on. Sincerely, Head Gamemaker, MattKan Please explain your reasoning as to what you picked in a post. In your post, please put your ideas on ways to make the biome more dangerous. Basically whichever biome we can raise the most hell in, not neccessarily the one with the most votes, will be the one that the arena is built in. (We are not going to do it in the Nether or The End, I will clarify that now).

Right now I'm thinking very, very few gamemakers because I don't want word being released on what the arena looks like. We will walk at least 10,000 - 15,000 blocks up or down and to the left or right so that nobody stumbles on it by accident.

We're going to need a few administrators to fly around and film the event this is such an amazing idea!

Anyone else stuck on the notion he said "Twenty Four", and the playercount has never been that high? O_o

We also need a cornucopia with weapons and tools. It's a hunger games tradition ;D

All of these places have good adavntages. Snow because it's mostly all white, forests, because it's very flammable (flint and steel) (for a trap) and caves for a number of reasons.

We should do a mixture of two terrains, like mountains and forests.

I am a pretty good designer if I may say so myself. I've made a desert arena before... But I choose the ocean/islands because it is difficult to fight in water. It also brings down your hunger meter quicker than walking around does. (You see what I did there?) Anyway, let me know! |

I think I may want to trap, but im afraid if I do there won't be enough participants, as the playercount for the server is low now.
