We are glad that most players are enjoying the broom.

I somewhat agree with what Tunder posted on the in-game forums. Brooms aren't as "futuristic" as hoverboards, but they are considerably faster.  

Everything released on the Server doesn't have to fit the theme. Graaloween doesn't exist within the futuristic theme, so because it doesn't fit the theme, we shouldn't have it? Even with that, you said hoverboards should be faster, because they fit the theme. That's a laughable statement.

It'd be really nice if it was though, if you look at classic it's really strange as it has no theme and is just a mis-match of random ****. Graal-o-ween, or any other holiday can be made to fit the theme with a little hint of futurism added to it. And I can honestly say anything being currently done for Graal-o-ween does look like it fits the zone theme, with the exception of the hoverboards.

I agree, content should try to stay on theme, but I could care less. If the content is good, add it.

I dont think it would be good to not add something just because it is off theme, it's just think maybe whoever is working on the project should put some thought into it and consider the server it is being added to and maybe alter it so it looks like it could fit.

That's exactly what I mean, if it was made to look a little more futuristic I really wouldn't care less about it being added.  

I like the novelty items like brooms, It just kind of sucks that they make the hoverboards so worthless in comparison (hoverboards are slower, can only drive in 4 directions, have a hard time fitting through small spaced, etc.). The hoverboard mechanism is so cool, I liked how you had to push the "gas" to build speed, and I would use it to get around larger maps cause it was faster after practicing.

I've been using the broom now and I never feel like there's a reason I should use the hoverboard, which is a shame cause the brooms basically just makes you walk faster. If it had cool controls sort of like hoverboard or the snowmobiles I would love it.

Kind of reminds me of Flower gun, a new "novelty" item outside of Zone's theme that just happens to be better than all the old more in-character guns. I use them cause they're better but still kind of wish they weren't so much better than the others if that makes sense.  

Guess it's a good thing that the boom cost more. Although it isn't faster than the hoverboards.

It might not be faster when the hoverboard is going full speed, but it takes a while for hoverboard to get that fast, and if you hit any walls then the hoverboard comes to a stop and even bounces backwards. Plus the fact that hoverboard can't go diagonal makes it a lot slower for reaching places that aren't straight away. Then things like not being able to go up ladders or cross those small moving bridges on hoverboard makes broom much easier. But I guess they are more expensive.  

Hmm, might not be able to go up the ladders like the broom fly's up them but just about all stairs and ladders allows you to "grind" up or down them. Even across the escalators you can "grind" across.
