Constructive criticism + question
Yo, most of you probably know me, very few know I draw. Anyways, I've always thought I could draw relatively well, not wonderfully, but decently. I went to deviant art, and looked around. I see lots of pictures with beautifully drawn lineart, great coloring, shading, ect. I've tried drawing my own pictures using gimp (after scanning in the original drawing.). It turns out looking alright, but the lines aren't crisp and fluid(I use a drawing tablet), and the coloring turns out bland. So my question, is what am I doing wrong? Wrong program? I just don't know what my approach should be. I hope i'm not just being a giant idiot about this whole thing, although I feel like that's the case. Tl;dr, I feel like stepping up my drawings with silky smooth lineart and stuff, but don't really know how. Here's an example of one of my drawings, feel free to give Constructive criticism. Spoiler
Oh and if you have questions about the process I go through to draw an image, or anything else, feel free to ask.
