Well hello everyone! As you all know the World Cup kicks off tomorrow in Brazil and Classic has added some nice FIFA items. What do you guys think of them, they added some nice hats and country themed soccer balls to Brothers, who are you going for this year? Can't wait to see Australia get absolutely thrashed by Chile on Saturday.  

The first match hasn't started yet and I'm already contemplating jumping from my ****ing window.

I am a massive football fan, I play it, I follow it and I love it. I don't understand your point of you raging at people who are better paid than you, that is if you can even work yet. It is a wonderful game. I remember going to my first ever match, it was great. It brings all the countries together in one country, it's amazing if you actually are at a world cup like FIFA, the atmosphere is breath taking.

I love football too but you have to admit they are ridiculously overpaid, like seriously. Especially in the UK, I mean seriously Wayne Rooney gets £30 a minute (Up to £300,000 a week) which is pretty ridiculous considering some people don't even get that a week. I guess they do generate that money though through fans, so they are getting paid what they actually make.

Exactly this. Only good players get paid a lot. I mean players do get paid a lot, but some get way less than popular players.

Not quite sure what DOTA 2 has to do with what I said about football considering I've never played it in my life? o.o DOTA 2 competitions don't take up space on TV either and they certainly don't turn the English into raving hooligans.

That is slightly ridiculous. However, the difference between these gamers and footballers is that they're participants and aren't paid regardless of the outcome of the game. Footballers are paid stupid amounts of money to kick a ball around a field and act like arse holes in the media.

Fair enough :3 I'm just giving my opinion after all. I'm sure there's something out there that I support that others don't. I do think however that the English get overly worked up about football, especially in the North-east where I live. They practically breathe football here. Football events are also notorious for the homophobia/racism spouted by the fans during the game.
