Player Made Houses
Why not allow players to create their own levels and somehow upload to classic so they can use it as their house or guild house. I've seen a few staff members with different houses than what normal players have so why not somehow make it available to player? I know some one might make a level with nothing but grass so I created a quick list of some rules that can possibly be applied. -Maximum of 4 levels -No Gmaps -Maximum of 50 bushes/grass (gralat makers) -No furniture already placed in levels -warpers can only lead in and out of a level. I'm pretty sure this isn't enough rules but maybe there can be a website that we can upload to and can be viewed, accepted or declined by staff members. |

The reason this is never going to happen is due to the amount of levels that would be submitted. Staff simply wouldn't have the time to open up each bloody one and check to see that they meet guidelines, carry no scripts that would give player's unfair advantages or such.

This has been posted before, and denied because it'd be a waste of time to check to see that there are no hidden NPCs that would be bad. And the reason some staff have different houses is just because they used a Level Editor to change the look of their house, they don't have any more house options than players. |

Old graal would do this. If graal is still trying to be a community project then they should allow the community to contribute a lot more.

If they said players couldn't have scripts in their levels then this could be a pretty easy thing to do. Just open up the file in a text editor, scan for scripts, ten second job with the right software. Yeah, it's a bit more time consuming than checking guild pics and uploads, but it's not like levels are going to be submitted that often. The only other problem I could see is that rights to approve levels would need to be reserved for high staff only since you'd essentially be giving any staff rights to run scripts (albeit in a very roundabout way). |
