Gaga vs Katy:More Successful Debut?
There's no denying the fact that these two incredibly talented pop girls(with one being slightly more talented than the other which I will not name), has found worldwide success throughout their career. However, their sophomore albums was a deal breaker to see if they could cement their name into the music industry and becoming two of the most respected names in music(currently ofc). Now on to the question:Which debut was more successful commercially and with impact? The Fame One of the Boys Please explain. |

Lady Gagas debut was more successful commercially and with impact because of her outlandish outfits, videos and the way she acts. It's pretty much shock value and makes people look at her more because she tries to be different then everyone else.

As much as I respect and enjoy listening to both artists, both are kinda generic pop music. To me, the only one that really stands out for uniqueness is Lady Gaga. Katy Perry has perhaps set trends and is the woman every teenage girl wants to be, but didnt bring as much innovation to the table as Gaga did. I think Gaga's career has been slowing down in comparison to Katy Perry at the moment; but as far as those two album goes, Lady Gaga's definitely had many songs that hit the top lists so hard, I don't have a doubt they will be regarded as defining songs for its decade.

149.This Is How We Do 145.Birthday 52.Dark Horse I think it's safe to say that the PRISM era is over. I could be wrong however. This Is How We Do isn't necessarily radio-friendly, but I could be wrong as Dark Horse smashed. Birthday was just a mess and could've done much better if her team knew how to not make such a long video and promoted it after Dark Horse's hype was gone. |

Lady Gaga was more successful with her first album, but you could probably say they have switched roles ever since then. Katy Perry's one of (if not the) most popular artist in mainstream pop music right now.

I really liked Lady Gaga's material to begin with, but some of her more recent stuff I'm not all that crazy about. Whereas with Katy Perry, I wasn't really paying much attention to her at the beginning, and she seems to be putting out some great stuff now. I wish Katy Perry would keep doing stuff with 3OH!3 though. They were awesome together. |

Lady gaga, she was one of the few to step out of being 'normal' in stage by bringing crazy dance moves and outfits then every other artist started jumping into it in later years after seeing her fame skyrocket.
