Gun volume - Could there be an option to lower just gun sounds?
Hey, I know the Ol West is a new game and it's a work in progress. I don't want to sound like fix this and change that. Do you think that maybe there could be a option just the lower the sounds of the guns? Is it just me or do the guns sound too loud? Sometimes I use headphones and it explodes my eardrums out only with the gun sound. I like to hear all the cool sounds in the game, animals and stuff. I don't want to turn off the sound fx or lower my volume so low where I only hear the guns. |

Can't you just lower your overall game volume? You did say you liked hearing the 'cool sounds', then I don't see why not. But if you have any further suggestions, make sure to post it in the 'Future Improvements' section . Thanks. Make sure to list all the suggestions you'd like to post, so it can be in one thread, instead of having to post many threads. I don't see why you're making such a big fuss. I turned my sounds on, and walked around the map and into buildings etc, and the only noises I heard were horses saying 'neigh' every time I went on my horse, and the sound of pm's and that annoying sound when people die. I also walked into the mines, and there was that constant sound of irritating noises. I tried panning with the sounds, and it sounded like someone was stepping on muddy puddles over and over again. I think the gun sounds are what makes the game more interesting, and the rest are either not on all the time - or are really irritating. But if you like hearing 'neigh' every time you ride your horse and 'ugh, ugh, ugh, ugh,' from NPC'S being hit - and 'WEEEWOOOWEOOOWOOO' of dying players, and also the 'PIIING' from pm's. Then I cannot argue with you. |

Nope, Graal's sound engine is extremely basic. On the Facebook client there isn't even a way to adjust the volume of the master sound. It's either on or off.

Yea I wouldn't be sure that they know how to do that. But they might. I play with the sound off because EVERY Graal sound is annoying to me.

I could go through all the gun sounds individually and ajust them in my program volume wise. Balancing will all be done within a week if it goes as planned

I am probably done playing Ol West now. Because for me the best part of playing Graal games is allowing me to use my custom robot and graphics. It is my identity, website mascot. It meant everything to me. An Ol West admin took it away from me. I don't know why having a robot character is so bad? It worked perfectly with all the gani stuff. Era, Classic and Zone lets me have it. Why couldn't Ol West? Ol well I'm gonna go shoot myself now with that loud gun. :-( |

As Dusty mentioned, all sounds are the same volume. The only things we can manipulate separately are either 'Sounds', which are gun sounds melee sounds etc, and 'Music', which is the background music that you hear looped. There is no way to modify certain sounds separately in-game.
