Hello, everyone!

I just wanted to announce that I've got a bit of a contest going on at my house and would LOVE to have you come and check it out! I've spent the last couple weeks finding some particularly well planned out houses and offering them the opportunity to exchange a statue with me in order to 'link' up all our houses. LITTLE DID THEY KNOW it was actually a goodwill exercise in the making!

The first player to receive 100 votes from fellow graalians will receive 5000 gralats (which the general public has so generously farmed up for the contest during my most recent codeshop and restaurant ventures).

Previously I had run my guild as "House of the month group" and had quite a turn out for smaller, monthly housing events with a theme. The prize each month for a year was a gold gralat and recognition in a 'hall of fame' area. This time I am not putting any restrictions on the theme of the house - just sheer greatness! With this gesture I hope to create interest in the community for creative house design and foster an interest in the design aspect of the game. Thank you for your interest, and again, please come give the houses a look and vote!

No, there's some old halloween candy though.  

I would like to enter the competiton, however my main is currently banned. I can supply a photo of part of the house I made, and people can perhaps go to this link page to view my house and then may vote for it. If I am allowed to do this, I will supply a photo when you reply. I really love Designing house, and I do not want to miss this opertunity.  

Sorry, the eleven that have been selected are already there. The one that appears to be me (in the eleven statues of contestants) is actually a place holder for one 'Andysam' who had his statue destroyed by accident.

Ohh thats a real pain. I think you should of had a vote of about 20+ people to choose the 11. If you would like to view part of my house on my main anyway (was in early stages in pic) then go http://www.graalians.com/forums/show...t=House+vulcan Pm me any comments about it. Perhaps you may like it to others in the competition? Lol.

I am always looking for housing enthusiasts to share ideas...
This time around I didn't let anyone know what the plan was. When the last member of the 11 contestant group was found, I put the word out to all of them and started taking votes while online.

There's a couple issues that I've seen so far, which I am looking to correct with the next run. Like I said, others who would be happy to donate some cash to the effort (or run a spin-off contest!) don't be shy

I've been considering some themes and/or rules to make it interesting and fair to all who compete, so... even though this edition is still far from over, the next one is already in mind!

Great idea, but no contest man. Rogers is clearly gonna win in a matter of time.

Some folks have been actively 'promoting' their houses and the competition has turned out to be not so straight forward.

I get the feeling that there is some discrepancy between the number of folks who get the "This player is offline and will get your message when they return." message and how many vote PM's I get when I log in. It seems to overload the system, and if I log/relog a couple times I get a whole backwash of messages from different times...

Would that be a bug?
