Setting up my first desktop
Hey Ive always been using a laptop when i wanted to do pc gaming but my old laptop broke years ago Since then ive been using my ipad msotly and sometimes the family computer After a year of saving i finally got an asus desktop , when i baught it it came with the mouse and keyboard but not a monitor so I decided to use the family computers monitor since nobody uses that computer exept for me ocasionaly Tried wiring it up but whenever i try turning my comp on it says no signal and shuts down Well the monitor says it but the desktop remains open My guess is something related to the conection between the monitor and the desktop But maybe you might know more I used to be good at setting up computers but after i took a break from all that i forgot most of my techniques Be extremely specific please might not reconise most names of parts If you need a pic of the wiring I can show you it |

Try plugging the VGA cord into the Graphics Card instead of the On-Board graphics slot. It's below the where you put it.

Blue VGA cable to the black VGA port near the bottom that also has the white DVI and HDMI port on it.

try plugging the Blue VGA cable in the GFX port insted of the on-board one. if this doesn't work, try using an HDMI cable.it would work for sure. also check if any of ur cable is faulty or something. ik this is dumb to ask but did u plug the Memory sticks(RAM) in the 2 rail(mostly) black RAM port or the other one. |
