Anyone Want To Work On An Unreal Engine 4 Game?
Now that UE4 is free to use, my friend and I are considering making a game. My friend and I are somewhat experienced in C++, which is what UE4 uses. It'll just be a side hobby as we're both attending college full time and are working part time jobs. Mainly looking for artists, sfx artists, and level designers, but we'll take anyone that wants to help. Programmers, composers, anything that could help. Also open to ideas for games you'd like to see. Keep in mind this is more of a learning experience than anything. Don't expect for us to make a lot of money or anything. It's mainly just making a game for fun and seeing where it takes us. |

I can't offer to contribute because I am committed to my own project, however I can offer any programming tips or answer any questions you might have.

Not really sure yet, open to ideas. I think at first we'll go through tutorials and make something generic, to get used to the tools and working as a team. After that, we'll start work on something unique. We're open to ideas. I have to say, it definitely depends on how powerful our team is in particular areas. Some games take more manpower in certain areas than others. One idea I have is a turn based, single player RPG with raid-like mechanics. You control multiple characters at once. Fights will be like a puzzle, and you need to make careful decisions to win battles. it provides the fun of strategizing on how to clear a raid, without the stress of having to get 20 people to listen to directions, not argue/blame each other. not screw up, lag out, etc. That idea would be heavy on design and programming, but easy on art as it could utilize 2d graphics. If we get a strong art team, however, we could make it into more of a game world instead of just a hub based game. |
