I can't put music from my "Music" folder on my Windows 8.1 PC onto my Samsung Android 4.0.4 device. It takes a while for it to even load folders when I go into the device and it wont copy music from one to the other. It is set as an MTP (Media Device) so I'm not sure what the problem is. Im trying to put them onto the SD Card in the phone.

I don't know what file types it supports

Is Android Debugging enabled? Try copying and pasting the music files into the folder on your device instead of dragging them over.  

That didn't do it. Upon further research I'm going to try syncing the music with Windows Media Player. Hopefully it settles it.

Do you have Skype? I might be able to help.  

Probably a problem with your phone internal storage or its SD card (if you've put one in). Did you get a cheap SD card?  

Syncing it with Windows Media Player worked. Thanks for the help though
