ok who played the 1 hour beta today? I gotta say, it was a lot of fun. Especially the paint roller god damn that thing is fun. In the hour i played it, it was some fun stuff and different.  

I heard about it from the other forum site I use. It seems like a neat concept. I might get it.

Great Game. Pre-ordered it yesterday!  

I played the hour demo for this yesterday. The server had a ton of problems and everyone wasn't able to play the original time from 6-7 EST so they extended it an hour and it worked great. I really enjoyed the demo and am definitely going to purchase the full game. It's something different and unique to other TPS I've seen.  

The channel GameXplain on YouTube has a lot of videos that relate to Splatoon. You should check it out when you have time.  

The game came out yesterday. I got it and some amiibo and played with a group of people for 4 hours straight. Its awesome, easily my favorite shooter over the past few years. Its turf based gameplay is so unique and original, and even though there's not much maps yet it doesn't get old because the real map is how the ink is placed as that affects where you can go without getting hurt and how fast you move. They're adding 9 more maps for free over the summer and some new game modes as well so its just going to get better over time. The connection is fine from what I've seen, I've only had a disconnected match once and I've probably played over 100 in the past two days lol.

The single player is awesome as well, it reminds me of Mario Galaxy in the way it shakes the levels up with new mechanics each stage. One level had invisible platforms you couldn't see unless you sprayed ink onto them. Another had moving walls that made it harder to swim through the ink trails you placed. The boss fights are great as well, each is unique and has a different strategy/pattern to beat. I heard the final boss is awesome.

Overall this is a really great new IP by Nintendo and I can't wait to see where it goes next  

Bump. I'm curious to know what ranks you guys have reached and with what weapons? I got to B- with ease with the Aerospray, then went on a huge losing streak and dropped back to C+. I switched to the .52 Gal deco and I'm back in B- and doing very well with it.  

I might get the game on thursday since i do not support incompleted games (splatoon was an incomplete game, they are adding in things they had promised already to be in the core game). Now that it is completed plus everything is free that they added ima get it.  

For some reason, the game wasn't connecting so I just sat there for 5 minutes. I really wanted to play the one hour..

The Aerospray is cheap. That's the main reason I stopped using it. I'm surprised they didn't nerf it in the update. I also use the .52 Gal Deco though. That is a good gun. I get very frustrated with ranked because it's either you get a good team or a bad team. I got to B- and stopped playing it.  

Yeah in turf wars the Aerospray is cheap cause of the rate of fire but in ranked I think its outclassed. I got in a match with A- players and I just kept getting destroyed because of its small range.
