Towering Suggestions
After reading a different thread, I decided to create this one as an outlet for those who do enjoy towering. I suppose if you like PKing, this thread is for you as well. I want to hear what you all think should be added to the whole towering experience. Maybe there are even things that should be removed, updated, etc. Please do not comment hate because you think towering "sucks." I want to see genuine answers, as I'm honestly curious about what your opinions are. Feel free to share your thoughts, just be mature about it. Essentially what I implemented was one flag hit changes ownership, and your guild must hold it for two minutes to win a round. I based it on Trench Wars, a server for the game Continuum (this video doesn't have audio). Actually it's one of the reasons you still see bottlenecks, because you need them for that kind of battle. It got reverted back to flag HP methods some time after I left the development team. |

Beats me as to why they got rid of your method, seems like it was a smart idea in my opinion. I actually remember hearing about that happening, it was ages ago. :0 I don't know what the admins could do now, but towering has become so monotonous, at least for me. Heck, I'd be glad if they brought back capture the flag for a change. I don't want to go off-topic, but there are so many things that I feel admins could be improving/bringing back. Instead of making new hats every so often, I can't help but think that they could be working towards new things. Maybe they need more ideas? |

Would towering become too complicated for the majority of people if each tower had a different method to it? Like you guys have been saying, the "hold for 2 minutes" method was designed for MoD, then so on and so forth for the other towers then too. I'm not sure if each tower having a separate strategy like that would be possible even, it might cause a bit of lag. If it interests people enough, I might make a poll just to see what everyone thinks about all of this. |

Loved basing and Warbird duels on Trench Wars, so sad that Continuum is mostly dead now
