Lighting Effects on PC

On phones and tablet, you have the lighting of the cave/dark area become dark, and have the light source focused on the character. Is something wrong with the PC version? Why doesn't PC have the same lighting effect.

For example: Today, it's kind of lame, since it is part of the world this holiday for Halloween, and PC doesn't get the same effects where it's similar to holding a lantern.

The flash client is in fact limited in regards to certain lighting effects.

I'm too lazy to sift through the 8 other threads where this might have been suggested, but can we lump the darkness into being a weather effect so that we have the option to disable it by settings?

Someone on PC should come PK at MoD for about 5 minutes today and tell me if you experience ridiculous freezes every couple seconds too, started happening after the darkness, making me go crazy

Had the same issue on west when I made a race event. I made an image's alpha change to 0.5 when a player touched it (previously no transparency at all) - only to find complaints from PC players that the race is unfair and broken since alpha doesn't seem to work with flash. In the end, the easy solution was just to make the image hide and show :/

Pretty sure this just has to do with poor game performance after the client is open for multiple hours

I had the same problem. It honestly felt like everything was a half-second behind, my character was noticeably slower then usual. Maybe I just had too much pumpkin pie?

(Also, I think the lag is caused by the fog with the darkness effect, not the darkness itself. Though I could be wrong.)

Would that not open up more exploits/ hacks? The flash client is already plagued by cheat engine users.

Please. I was about to suggest this too. I dont exactly like being forced into eternal night. However, turning this setting off will still keep caves dark. It would only turn off lighting effects in overworld map and in player houses.
