How to download applications!!?

Hey guys, in my life I had two PCs and both of them are so not working for this one reason: downloading.

How do I download applications because the applications that I download were free (gimp, paint.net, graal)!

I just got a new laptop and I knew if I try to download an application like Graal my laptop will be:

•Hacked by the "FBI"
•Filled with "28810" errors
•Optimizer Pro
•My Pc BackUp

I see many people playing games,downloading new things everything,and even making games using applications while when I download stuff things just mess up. This is half the reason why I can never make Ganis,Levels, and even GFX! (The other half being I have no skills) so how?

Ok well first off, be a little more conscious about downloading certain softwares.

If it's a very popular piece of software then chances are there's gonna be tons of scam sites tryna jumble together deals and get your PC all messed up.

That in mind, get yourself a good PC cleaner that can deal with malware or trash files that get jumbled up.

Also, do you happen to use Internet Explorer as your main browser?

If so, drop what you're doing and get a different browser.

ANYTHING IS BETTER THAN INTERNET EXPLORER. ****ING CANCER IS BETTER THAN INTERNET EXPLORER.

Get a solid anti-virus (I recommend Avast)
Only download programs you know you can trust
Download programs from their official website, not some external one such as "Softonic"
Always choose "Advanced options" when installing something new, some installers try to get you to install potentially harmful software which you can opt-out of when going through the advanced setup.

Hey! Thanks for letting me know but aside that, I DO install applications from the original site as I said I downloaded paint.net,gimp, and Graal. Sure paint.net and gimp were downloaded from the wrong place but what about Graal? I downloaded that and a bunch of viruses hit me too? And it was from the actual site too!

What do you mean by "viruses"? I'm like 99% sure GIMP and Paint.NET don't have any. Also, do you have an antivirus?

maybe in the windows xp days, sure, but ie wasnt really that bad on windows 7 and onwards. i still dont use it though.

Its been garbage since the dawn of technology.

Just get Chrome of Firefox or anything.

Whenever you download something, check and see if it has addition offers. If it does, choose custom download

you used to be better off with firefox back in the day because it would block pop-ups while IE would just throw all the spam at you. nowadays chrome/firefox and even the later versions of IE are ok, but I still recommend either chrome or firefox over IE.

you should also install adblock (a quick google search will get you the link) on your new browser.

Hey today is Black Friday and I bought a new laptop! I'm not going to download straight from the bat but there's no Firefox or chrome what do I do?

Well just download Chrome or Firefox off whatever default browser you have.

Chances are with a brand new laptop you won't have anything bad downloaded along with it.
