Geolocation feature suggestions
Now that you guys did the right thang and locked everyone's flags to IP geolocations, would like to see it utilized through some other features if at all possible. Didn't think for super long, but was able to come up with one idea. As the game becomes more international, maybe it'd be nice to have a "same country" or (even more narrowly) "same language" indicator. The latter would require some separate database that categorizes countries by language. I don't know how taxing that'd be on the server, but if significant then you could disable it for US and UK players (since they probably account for the large percentage of the playerbase). Maybe the indicator could be a flag over players' heads. It might be nice to have it on by default for new players from less popular countries, as it could help them get around a bit easier. I just think maybe it'd be helpful for new players to find other players who speak their same language and for regular players to find new people to socialize with. For a long time, French-speaking players have gathered to the right of Azrael's and Spanish-speaking players have gathered under the GC bridge. I've more recently noticed Arabic-speaking players start to come around the left side of the GC restaurant. I think it's obvious that players would like to be around people from their same country, same language, so this could help. Post ideas, etc. |

I like this idea, would help people socialize more. I feel like a lot of new players don't know where "their people" are at. French people like to hang out to the left of fox. South americans like to hang out below the bridge. Emos in burger refuge. Angry tryhards in battle arena. Old men in baby place. Hopefully this get's added, since I always have to check my opponents flag when the spar starts, and it's pretty annoying. I'd like to not have to do that. |

Also, what happens to countries who have many languages? For example: Canada, a part of it speaks french and the other ones speak english, seeing that someone has the same flag doesn't mean anything. And to add to that, if your flag is geolocatedand you come from mexico and speak spanish(For example). Let's say that person just arrived in Québec, he'll have the canadian flag and so people will think he speaks french and/or english. (Just my opinion, with few modifications it'd probably work though) |

Nooooooo don't put this idea on game, because I don't wanna speak spanish with hispanics Dx (and I am seriously bad at it; they are freaking annoying and dumbasses). I just normaly speak english in games cuz its easier for me to write and understand :/

Maybe FP4 is adding a day cycle to classic based on your location? That would actually be pretty cool.
