How do I fish 2?

So I got a lure and rod and tried catching fish but they dont take it. I thought the ones right outside the fishing shop would be catchable but I guess not, either that or im doing something wrong.

You click at where you want to cast the rod. (I'm assuming you just started fishing)

I did that and I was people around me why I couldnt catch fish and they said I had to be level 45 or some **** and now I dont know where to find fish I can catch with the beginners rod.

Have you got a lure? Or even the beginners lure.

1 lure per fish.

Yes, I have the beginners rod and lure, what I cant seem to do is catch any fish. When I cast it they just ignore it or I get a message saying im not high enough level to catch this fish. Where am I supposed to find the beginner fish?

Near the fishing shop, on the docks. There are tons of beginning fish there.

Edit:Turns out I was unaware there were 2 fishing shops and was at the wrong docks.

omg guys. If the people by the docks say he needs to be level 45 then he is in the fishing shop in the bottom left corner of them map. Metal, go to your map and go the the fishing shop on the top right of the map. there, you will find a bunch of fish. those are the ones they have been talking about. You're welcome.
