As someone who's done production for a long time now and wants to make a career out of it, i've been curious about who else in graal does the same, mainly thru computer software. I'd like to know what got you into it and where you see yourself going with it, and if you have anything to share, Id like to hear it.

I've used Frooty loops, Acid Music Studio, Garageband, and Ableton for making beats and such. In the end, it really comes down to your skill and creativity when creating music. It is the same with art, if you have high end equipment but intermediate talent then it won't do you any good. Someone with a high end program like Photoshop but isn't very good at drawing can create something that is garbage, while someone with a default program like paint with a lot of creativity can create a masterpiece. You can practice with free programs like Frooty loops for starters, and then develop your own style as you go along. Really what I would recommend for anyone trying to go into music production is to learn basics. Learn to read music (scales, music theory etc./ unless you are really talented) after that just mess around with free software on the interwebs. Having limitations often creates many opportunities for creativity. If you really want to go into music production after that then invest into some equipment/ software, such as some high end microphones/ pop filters, mixers, pitch sifters, keyboard, maybe some instruments... etc., it depends on the music you want to create.
