I often listen to music wile making pixel art, and wile in class wile doing work; I thought I'd be interesting to see what other people listen to, this can be from anything from a song, to a band, to scary story narrators.

Sad/calm/relaxing anime OST.

One I usually listen to when doing homework, sleeping, traveling on the bus, etc is this:

(But that's what I always listen to anyways so)  

I listen to basically everything that fits my mood, though I listen to music almost the entire day.
(Though I dont get creative trough music but more trough people and the outside world.)  

I listen to every kind but Hip-Hop/R&B is what I listen to while I write poetry  

OST from Journey, Uncharted, Legend of Korra are always good options. Also Goldberg Variations by J.S. Bach keeps me focused.

I spent the days preparing an oral exam in high school listening to Nyan Cat. It kept me working and focused most of the time, and I ended up with an A..
However, I wouldn't really recommend it...

Mostly anime openings or video game themes. Depends what I am doing, but if im writing i entirely depends what genre im going for. If im programming, im probably listening to old video game themes, like the original zelda theme or perhaps the Lance theme from pokemon.

Though if I was going to list one band that I really, really like it would be Two Steps From Hell(basically videogame themes). They have a very epic brand of music that I'd highly recommend.

Sad/calm/relaxing anime OST.

Ah, I loved that one so much had to find it on Itunes  

Electronic music is nice. Since there's no lyrics I can focus on what im doing instead of trying to listen to the words of the song. Its also inspiring to create quality works.
