Virtual Reality
As most of you probably know, Virtual Reality has blown up lately. Many games on Steam and it appears as though VR is here to stay and hopefully progress and get better. What do you guys think? Excited? Concerned? I'm personally excited, but also nervous because I get motion sickness pretty often. |

I just wrote an editorial on Google Cardboard and what it has to offer to education around the world. It's pretty neat, same with the applications. Tbh though I think augmented reality is the future, not necessarily virtual reality. Both are amazing, nevertheless. |

I had the rift dk1 and played what were supposedly the most motion-sickness / nauseating games available, and felt nothing. I even played minecraft on it, using a keyboard, and jumped into deep holes and the like, never once felt remotely sick. Since then, I've decided the Vive has more to offer and I don't trust Facebook with anything. I'm excited to see what happens with the technology. |

I had an idea of using a GoPro a while back to take Snapchat videos on. I even tried to email the GoPro CEO to give him my idea (doubt he got it). It would be pretty badass to impliment virtual reality into social media like that, such as virtual seats in one of the geo stories on Snapchat if it were a sports event or something. It isn't gaming, but it's still pretty cool.

looking forward to it for racing games and stuff. i think VR games will have ****ty graphics at first because they are ~80% more demanding than a normal game since it needs to essentially be pumping out at almost twice the resolution and at around 90FPS+.

Am I the only one who isn't super hyped for VR? Never really appealed to me. But seeing all these companies coming out with their own VR gear shows how much this is going to be like the new console wars. |

has science gone to far? tbh i want VR, but i think it wouldnt be the same, you would have to stand up and walk around, you would need a special big room so you dont trip and break a hip. |
