Dust/Paint Masks (for spraying)
Friends & me decided we should try some outdoor graffiti because why not (our art teach inspired us). Going to buy the spray cans since we're celebrating a friends birthday next week (was gonna do it tomorrow but weather sucks so party will be held next week). Thought I'd buy a bunch of spray cans for her birthday but since I've seen a lot of sprayers use specific masks I was wondering if those were necessary? My friend has a panda mask already but I doubt its really good for spraying. Don't wanna inhale some ugly stuff there after all, I guess. Gonna buy a few cans in a big art shop saturday, if they dont turn out good I'll order some Montana Black's or Grog's (dont rly know yet, suggestions r welcome tho). Also: Are gloves really necessary? we are obviouuuusly going to spray on some legal walls guuuuuys please dont jump to conclusions here. b4 dumb questions as usual: we got inspired by artists such as banksy, MBW, etc. We're not going to spray some random names or random symbols on the walls btw. just to clear that, since im totally against stuff that has no meaning. |

Well if u don't wanna inhale chemicals that can cause nerve damage u should better get a mask, but gloves aren't necessary I guess. Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk |

I'd suggest starting out with spray chalk, to get the feel of it. It works exactly like spray paint, but it washes off after a while. IDK about specific masks though, maybe just go with the suggested mask on the can if it does suggest one. If it doesn't I've just used a regular old construction mask. |

I always just used an old rag or t-shirt, and I turned out fine. Right...? RIGHT????! http://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s--sN0go_9U--/c_fit,fl_progressive,q_80,w_636/p9sjh1vbfdh7yz2dgm9v.gif (Unsupported image host) |
