Why can't we buy or make leaf piles? We could buy a rake for 1500g and leaf piles 750g. And where did the leaves come from? The trees are green. Not red.

i guess the remaining green trees are in the process?  

I say we have a new house with a fall tileset, aka recolored trees and grass  

Just leaf them on the ground, you won't always get everything you want like one two tree.  

Would be satisfying to be able to slash those leaf piles with a sword and make leaves come out, like an endless bush party

The leaf pile object would not lend itself to houses. The 'leap' into the pile is part of the cliff jump, and there just aren't that many 'cliffs' in house layouts.

True, the shuffling and leaves tossing everywhere is kinda cool... but the piles themselves are a nice (returning this year, i see) feature in the overworld that might not do super well in houses.

It would be a pretty cool item to have though, like you could make a maze and then cover it with leaf piles and people would have to find the way through.
