Why can't we place bugs in houses?

Its kinda annoying as i have some rare bugs.

The only official word I heard was that the Dusty man was thinking it might be cool to have a display for bugs, similar to loot/food... and I speculate it might look like the ones we see in the bug catcher guy's house.

A gif animated furniture item would be sweet, rather than having to kill the bug to put it on display like this cruel bug catcher guy.
