Homework Help!
Hi everyone, I have a homework for my Political Science class that requires me to ask people: "Which party do you most often vote for or identify with: Republicans or Democrats?" If anyone is willing to participate, please send me a private message or type your answer here. I will also need your first/last name, gender, and age. You can make names fake and maybe add 1 or 2 on the age, as long its not noticeably fake. I think my professor just wants to get certain groups of people's opinion. I need 25 people and I don't have that many friends irl so I'm resorting to the online webs. Thank You! |

Well I am registered as a Democrat but it usually depends on who are the candidates within each party that are running whether it be for presidency or senate. If their track record and ideas are plausible and benefit the country and my community then they have my vote. I voted for Trump (R) even though I am a Democrat. No, I am not a racial/bigot/ignorant individual for voting for The Donald. His policies were much more appealing than Clinton's. I look at the policies and their resume. |

Since I'm a teenager and I only have a few knowledge about the government in the US, I would like to help you. My name is Carl Zornosa, Male, and 15. I personally would chose both, It depends on what candidate is running I personally believe that Donald Trump had a better resume or goal than Clinton but overall I would definitely would choose Republicans over Democrats, But who knows my opinions might change in a few years. |

I don't live in America, but if I were I'd probably be sided with the democrats. Mind you though, having to pick between from Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump is a pretty tough choice imo.

It outlines the basics principles/beliefs for both the Democrats (left wing) and the Republicans (right wing). Might also come in handy for you Slyde

I'm a registered republican even though I see myself more as a libertarian. Tanner Butler, Male, 21.

Awesome! Thanks everyone for helping out and giving your input. I think I have enough now to do the assignment. (I also asked on other web forums). Also that chart is very helpful, helped me explain the options to some people. Thanks again! |

a lot of right wing people on this forum I observe. Was raised left wing Where I live nearly everyone is left wing and hates trump. Been having an interest in political ideologies due to the current political climate and as a result I've read a lot about right wing theories. I'm begining to consider myself right wing or atleast centrist. |

I've come to see that both sides are capable of both good and bad things. It's not the case of who's right or wrong, it's simply that party/person's priorities and beliefs. Just because I'm left leaning doesn't mean there are things that right-wing parties want to achieve that I also think should be done. What frustrates me is when a party goes on with a promise and highlights that as a reason to vote for them but once elected don't deliver. Another thing that is quite annoying is how a lot of people these days get caught up in an 'us against them' mentality and the 2016 USA election definitely highlighted that. I do give props to people who vote and give their reasoning related to the policies of their perferred party/candidate. When you said there's a lot of right-wing people on this forum, I'm going to go with the assumption that you're talking about this thread and what seems to be a lot of support for Donald Trump? (I don't think a single person has said Hillary yet xD) I noticed someone also said they consider themselves apart of the democrats but supported Trump. I found the 2016 USA election quite interesting and it was the first big election I looked into. I think there's a lot of reasons why people supported Trump over Hillary. Things such as; the fact there was little trust for Hillary (The whole email controversy and various leaks revealling how she was set out to win the primaries from the start) as well as Trump's message promising America to be great again having a stronger response compared to Hillary's Strong together. His business background made him seem like the perfect guy for the job in terms of the economical issues present with America. What I find interesting is the fact that people who considered themselves democrats voted for the opposing party's candidate. On top of that, a lot of people were disengaged with the current political climate and didn't vote at all. Politics is pretty important and relates to both the young and old, so I wonder whether this trend will continue or if politicians will be able to appeal to more people over the upcoming years. Trump is also interesting in terms of the fact that he made quite a few promises but seems to have become more passive on his promises once winning. This was the guy who made the promise to send Clinton to jail but has now decided to backdown on that idea saying it would be bad for America. I wonder whether or not he'll go ahead with his promises such as building the wall or whether he'll replace it with something not so drastic. I guess we'll find out over the next few months

I was born and raised in areas that were predominantly left. But over time I've come to notice how ****ing ******ed some liberals can be (major emphasis on this year's election). I'm pro-gay rights, pro-choice, and believe in climate change. Gun ownership is where I feel kinda split, on one hand I think its a constitutional right to be able to own guns but I really don't see why its necessary to own a ****ing assault rifle. There needs to be some major revisions on licencing because anyone can agree that a psycho with a gun is not a good thing. I still consider myself more left-leaning but I dare not go full left or right. With this said, I'm not entirely pleased with Donald Trump and most of his cabinet picks. But I have a feeling it really wouldn't have been much better if Hillary was elected. Both of these people are their own sorts of crazy and I do not **** with crazy. |
