By uploading through the pc client  

You just have to upload a png image

rename your .png/.gif files and add '.jpeg' at the end so it would be something like this: "basilsmisery.gif.jpeg"..

upload it and voila.. you have yourself a transparent(or even gif !!!) guild picture.. :-)

it only takes jpeg files which aren't transparent

Be sure to have "all files" selected like here:

it will work either way, as long as you have '.jpeg' added after the the picture's format
