The other day my friend was showing me around Classic PC and he took me to the spar arena for one of our stops. When we sparred I noticed there was white text in the arena when we joined showing both of our lag. I'm wondering why this isn't on iClassic. This way people couldn't lie about their lag and everyone can see how good/bad their connection is. I think they should add this inside the arena somewhere. My friend wasn't on today, but fortunately two players walked out and entered the spar so I got to get a picture of what it looks like.

There's already enough rage already regarding just losing and accusations of lag. I don't think it would hurt to have it on there or at least just in one room.

I agree. I bet rage would be actually less because theres no actual argument to what your lag is since you couldnt lie about it.

Correct. If the person continued insisting they didn't lag you know they did after seeing the lag rate in the arena.  

I agree they should have this!

Why would we suggest tout our UDIDs up? And can't you set it so that it will only show a certain amount of characters per nickname
Ex. Apprentice God Slayer Dragon Noob King Warlord=Apprentice God Slayer Dra...

You could only show part of their nickname. It doesn't have to be the whole thing. It could be Tyler Uc... vs. TwinDrag...

Then format it to say"LEFT PLAYER(lag=xxms) and same for right"

Well that solves any problems. Doubt having this implemented would cause any complication.

just use part of the nickname like the start. or use their head/hat as a picture, maybe make it part of the spar viewing interface.

edit: tyler already said part of the nickname idea.


Regardless it shouldn't be added because the pingcheck on iClassic is incredibly inaccurate. I get 150 ms or so when I'm clearly getting 30k+ because I can walk all around the map seeing no one and can't load profiles(when I'm at this one restaurant lol)

Actually, it lists account names, not nicknames or UDIDs. In which case, it would say something along the lines of "Graal768924: (75ms) vs. Graal763281: (100ms)". Still, you couldn't tell who is who.

Azrael is right though. Through all the pros and cons this idea has to offer, it would not work anyway.  

iEra displays the player name and head in spar. Not their lag, though.
