Advertising, Promotions and Articles
Graal is a very successful game on iPhone however the only way to find it is to be referred by a friend or randomly browsing the app store. Stefan released the Facebook clients hoping that the social aspect will make sharing of Graal easy and frequent. It did not happen because most people used alt fb accounts for Graal. The facebook server is now mostly used by people on iPhone with VIP, wanting an easy server for guild towers. Many MMORPG sites have been acknowledging mobile MMOS lately. MMOHUT and MMORPG.com have been posting frequently about spacetime studios games(which are mostly generic and pay2win). Graal has unique gameplay and I think if someone of importance would apply to post some articles about the game then we could get a flood of players(I've seen one game go from 100 players online average to 600+ because of one article on that website.) also maybe make the articles have some form of promotion for joining or reading the article. For example maybe the article would contain a password to a secret room that contains a free hat or have a full promotion that anyone who completes the tutorial in the next week gets double gralats when joining. |

They won't allow it. Stefan's too paranoid and anxious.

Yes, I agree with this polls' question entirely. "Should Graal advertise with news articles on mmo news sites/mobile gaming sites" I believe Graal SHOULD advertise for Graal. Stefan or Unixmad should advertise for Graal. The ones NOT being paid should NOT advertise for Graal. |

Well it wouldn't be advertising, it'd be publicity. Two different things, but they share the same goal. |

My goal is to develop and create things that I think others will like, and to not advertise for a game that I feel isn't worth the money paid, or my support on a game that the work does not even belong to the creators after created. Whereas the game owners' goal is getting money for content they did not create and are not willing to advertise the game for... Therefor leaving it to their community to not only create the content but play the game to give them more money as well... This however seems even worse than a pyramid scheme.. Not only are the players recruiting more people to play and pay, but are improving the scheme with their own work... I don't know how to put that lol... Publicity is advertisement, whereas advertisements aren't necessarily publicized.. I think they basically are the same thing. o.O |

I do agree with the idea of advertising for the game, because the game is losing players and not reeling in as many new players as it could. However, I think some things need to be worked out first for the game to be more playable and grab more attention. (Including more events, quests, and all those things people have been asking for for so long.)
Perhaps the number of new players would increase if more people learned about the game via word of mouth? Tell your friends and family about a cool, fun game to play when you get bored. Who knows, you may be surprised by their response! (Unless you are afraid of being called a nerd or geek for playing an online game, that's fine with me..) So yes, Graal should to get into the heads of more people by word of mouth or by online advertising. |
