NPC script help (offline editor)
I want to create a script where if u touch a certain npc then a different npc hides for 10 seconds then shows. I'm having trouble making this, could anyone help or make a script for it and message me or post it here?

Offline editor is garbage with scripts because it reads a different language than an actual server. If you want to see if it works, just upload it to a server and test it. Or post it here and I'll test it I my server for you

So try this if you want once you touch an NPC makes it hide for 10 seconds, pretty easy script(for Gs1/Level Editor)
So yeah you need a server for it. You can always ask developers on how to link, sorry I'm not that good with scripting... |

:O i think i know how to make the script, i just need these questions answered: What does index and eventflag mean? callnpc index,eventflag; What does this do and what does action and params mean? Can i use this to trigger the script of another npc? if so how? triggeraction x,y,action,params; |

The perels of a non-object based language. You could triggeraction the other script if you know it's x/y position. Make sure the other NPC has a setshape. The other option is to set a flag somewhere and make the other NPC check for that flag in a timeout...messy but eh: it's a legacy system! |

im sorta confused, do u mind making 2 npc scripts, 1 for each npc, (with random x/y positions) and post them here? thx, i just need something to look at to understand(:

Sorry mate, at work and as such, nothing to test the scripts with. I'm not familiar with GS1 so would need to test before providing a solution ![]() Perhaps someone else here can help? |
