Guide: Improving your connection to Graal(less lag)
If you're experiencing latency while playing Graal, this guide may help. It shouldn't really help with improving your fps(causes you to move slower when low fps) except maybe a little bit by loading graphics faster, but it should help with your ping. I don't recommend doing this if you have a limited data plan as it dedicates a lot of your bandwidth to Graal. What you need: Windows computer on same network as the device you're playing on(may be the computer you're playing on). This will not help you're using 3g or if the computer is on a different network. open the start menu, go to accessories, and open the command prompt. type in C://Users/YourUserHere>Ping -t -l 65500 74.86.179.137 change youruserhere to the name of your user. What this does is ensure a constant connection with Graal. Your network often tries to use as little data as possible, but this ensures you're using at least 64kb/s of data. if you get a request timed out error try lowering the number after l(65500) to a lower number until you stop getting it. Just leave the command prompt open while playing and it should work! explanation: the 74.86.179.137 is the iClassic's server ip address, used to connect to the server. the -t makes the connection continuous. the -l and number determines the set speed of the connection(maxes at 65500) When I started doing this my latency has gone down to 50 ms from about 200-250 ms but I imagine the differences will vary.(lower is better) |
